Managing Transitions

Transitions can be exciting… and exhausting. Whether it’s a change in role, location, season, or rhythm, they have a way of stirring up both possibility and vulnerability.

Over the past little while, I’ve found myself navigating some pretty significant changes. And as much as I love a good spreadsheet and a strategic plan, I’ve realised (again) that managing transitions well isn’t just about logistics—it’s about soul work.

That’s where my Supervisor and Spiritual Director have been absolute gifts.

In Supervision, I’ve had space to reflect on the shifting dynamics of my work—what’s life-giving, what’s draining, and where I’m being invited to grow. It’s helped me notice the things I might otherwise ignore in the rush to “just get on with it.”

In Spiritual Direction, I’ve been able to sit with deeper questions: Where is God in this? What’s being stirred in my heart? What’s He inviting me to release… and receive?

Both spaces have helped me stay grounded—not just in what I do, but in who I am. They’ve given me language for what I’m feeling, clarity in the fog, and a gentle nudge toward deeper trust.

If you’re in a season of transition (or even just standing at the edge of one), don’t walk it alone. Find someone safe to walk with you. Reflective practice isn’t a luxury—it’s an anchor.

I’m so grateful for the people who’ve held space for me. And I hope I can offer the same for others through SoulSpace Pathways.
